Pop up Mr. and Mrs.

Happy Friday! Earlier this week I shared the bridal shower card I made for some friends wedding coming up. Now I am sharing the wedding card that will go with the gifts. Can't wait to be able to attend normal functions again with loved ones I tell you. Sniff... sniff... Enough cryin onto my card. I used Dream Wedding again which is retired. However the cake and some sentiments are available in digital format called Fancy Flower Cake

The bride is a huge pop up card fan and all the Hallmark ones are a huge hit with her. It was only right that I created my own version of one using the Surprise box die. Now that I think about it for the shower card I could of used the purse die too. Oh rats... too late to fit one in now. ha!  Anyways... colored up several of the items in the set with Copic markers. Delicately cut around each of them so they could be inside the box. Added some ODBD designer paper to the box layers and some pearls to finish it off. Voila!  Turned out super cute and I know she will love it.

For the bride

Morning. It is still a difficult time for those getting married and I wish we were able to attend a wedding this coming week. For now a card and gift will have to do.  :-(  The colors are inspired by the wedding invitation that we received. Brides are always impressed... the groom's not so much. ha ha!  This one is for the bridal shower gift.

The set used is called Dream Wedding which is retired. Still a wonderful wedding set to have on hand.
The shoes are stamped and colored with Copic markers. I then cut around them and popped the right one up with a dimensional over the other shoe. Used some of my last few flowers that my sweet friend Pat made me years ago. They are only used on special occasion cards. ;-)
The designer paper is from a ODBD paper pack, with some flourished die cuts added. Sparkles and pearls and voila! Friday I will have the card for the wedding to share with you. Thanks for stopping by.

Woot woot keep it up

Happy Monday! It has been super stressful the last few weeks and I honestly really needed a day to just sit and color. And who wouldn't want to color these guys? This stamp was called Geronimo and I am not sure its available anymore. Still one of the cutest ones I have. They are colored using Copic markers. The designer paper was the color inspiration with the peach tones. Some texture added to the base layer. Some sparkle to the petals and my sentiment. This is to cheer a special person on to keep going and that I am proud of them. :-)  Thanks for stopping by.

Pure Fragrance

Morning! Pure joy in coloring this digi called Pure Fragrance. Check out the PP Blog for inspiration and details Marcy has for you using Pure Fragrance.

I printed this large to cover most of the base of the card front. Who doesn't like large blooms anyways. :-)   hee hee  Kept this rather simple in too so the focus is the image.
Colored with Copic markers and just added a simple black little panel behind the left edge. A few pearls and then some sparkles to finish if off. Voila

Soft Sympathy thoughts

As I mentioned on Monday I had to create several sympathy cards in December for friends and I am sharing those with you now. These have a little more feminine side to them.
My first one is with Strong and Beautiful flower, but the sentiment is from Soothing Sympathy set both of which are retired. They are really good sets for this type of card so I hang onto them.  Not sure why the picture kept turning out blurry, sorry about that. The base designer paper is from the pack called Pretty Pink Peonies. Wrapped some pink ribbon across the right side and added a few jewels.

The second one is with Soothing Sympathy where I stamped the flower along the panel and colored with soft colors. Layered onto the base and a simple ribbon bow on the left side.

My last one is letting the designer paper do all the work for me. This is another piece from the Pretty Pink Peonies paper pack. All I had to do was stamp the sentiment in the middle and a few layers onto the base.

Now I really hope that I do not have to create anymore of these cards. So everyone stay well and healthy please.  :-)  Have a great day.

Warm Sympathy thoughts

Good morning. Early in December I had to create a few sympathy cards for some friends who lost family members. It is hard enough when a friend loses a loved one and not any easier to create a card for them. Not wanting to post them in December I am sharing those with you now.
My first one is using Prairie Cheer (which is retired now) that is stamped in toffee ink and matching card stock. A simple scored border around the edge with some wrapped twine and button at the top. Added to chocolate base and then my sentiment circle.

My second one is using Daffodils (only the digital version available) that I stamped with gumball ink onto white cardstock. Before I layered the die cut edge on the left I did distress the edges and then layered onto the base.

Both of these I was trying to work with a more masculine theme since they were for men who had lost a loved one. Neither one of these turned out quite like I had hoped but my thoughts and prayers were with our friends regardless. Thanks for stopping by.

Just a note

Happy Friday. A quick note today using Serene Scenes stamp set. These blooms are just beautiful and I enjoyed coloring them this week. Several Copic markers used on this image.

A little faux stitching around the edge of the designer paper and layered onto the base. Added some textured swiss dots (still my favorite years later) to the crimson square. Then my sentiment and some sparkles to the blooms. Voila!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Fresh oranges

Morning! I am finally getting to a few of the cards I had completed and just didn't get to posting. This one is using Aloe and Oranges. My thought was this fresh feeling with a little bit of the orange gingham paper for the background. Not quite like I had pictured it turning out and will have to give it another attempt someday.

After the image was colored with Copic markers I used one of my favorite edge Spellbinders dies for the left side. No sparkles added to this one just a few enamel dots and voila. Thanks for stopping by.

Krafty fragrance

Good morning. Was your New Year's weekend as successful as mine? I did a pretty good purge/clean of the house and just about every room or cupboard. I would say we were very successful and felt like we accomplished a lot. Starting off 2021 on a more hopeful and clean note.  :-)

How about a floral note today. This is Pure Fragrance that is printed on kraft paper and colored with Prisma colored pencils. Still needing to work on my colors and blending with these pencils.

There are so many videos out there on colored pencils and after I watch them I always give it a try. This is one I did a few weeks back and just now am posting. Simple layer of designer paper onto white and added to the kraft base. Had two tags punched n the bin so I added one to the top and one to the edge. A few enamel dots and my sentiment tag to complete. Looking at this I can tell I need to watch more videos and practice more once again. ha ha  Have a wonderful day!

January Sketch a Christmas

Happy New Year! Today is January 1st and that means a new year of Dirty Dozen Christmas challenges are awaiting your creativity. Hope you can join us this year for fun and creativity. You can find the challenges in the forum on SCS HERE.

My first card for the year is using Amaryllis which is colored using various Copic markers. I did mask the petals so I could put the greenry around the edges since I did not use the large leaves in the set.

Scored a simple border around the image panel. The edge using a stitched scallop die. A simple sequins or two scattered about and then some sparkles to finish it off. Voila!
Hope you can play along with us this year.
