Simple Kraft colors and card

A friend's daughter asked me to create a few cards that would be quick and easy for a group of friends. These were two that I showed her that were rather easy with little coloring and some textures. I do like how kraft or white cardstock give you the option of little work as the splash of color sets it off well. This first one is using Alluring Lily if you have the digital image, or Tiger Lily that I have used here. Not using the whole image is a great idea for quick cards also.
Some simple coloring with colored pencils for the petals. Added swiss dots for the textured background and then a die cut scalloped edge. Finish off with my sentiment and some sequins.

My second one using the digital version if you have it Dahlia or in my case the Dahilia XL stamp.  Same thoughts for this one but a different embossed background and color. I added more white colored pencil to the petals on this one and I think was my favorite. She liked both and thought the variety for colors would be good. Either way Voila! :-)

Fishy thanks

Masculine cards... oh how I just enjoy making those. This is one from a super older stamp but there is a digital version of this fishy guy called Leaping Trout. Stamped a background image onto the designer paper and then faux pierced a edge around both base and the image panel.

My sentiment stamped across with a layer of the green base to match. The last of my gold mesh ribbon also. sniff sniff... I like that mesh. The picture is took at an odd angle so I can try and show you how the suduko gel pen matches the gold mesh behind the panel. Finished off some sparkles on the water and a brad for the top corner. Voila!

Oldies but goodies

Looks like another hot evening and I plan to be inside. Perfect as that then means I have time to post up two cards I created a few weeks back. This is from a stamp set that is retired but the digital versions are available. The first one is called Peonies and I think one of the best drawings by Marcy. Was looking for a beachy feel with my coloring. The designer paper was the inspiring feel for this called By The Shore. Die cut a fancy bottom and wrapped ribbon with a twine and button combo to the bow.

This is the second one and you can find a digital version called Tulips. This scrap of designer paper from a pack I can't even remember was my color choices for this one. Die cut the base layer to show off the dark lavendar underneath. Wrapped some ribbon and tied a bow. Then some flourished jewels behind the tulips. Voila!

These hot days do make it easier to stay inside and color. Just glad I finally was able to post these up. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Another Christmas card

Evening. I was going to post this during the challenge month but time got away from me again. We have been out of town a lot and just got back recently from the Hoh Rainforest. Beautiful! I loved it all. We didn't even see all that we wanted but we have plans to go back again soon.

Anyways... Here is another one I created for the Christmas challenge last month and just now posting. Actually have a few cards that I created at the same time and will try to post up.

This is using Bough Wow Wow stamp set which is no longer available. However the digi version called Mittens and Merriement is available. Colored with various Copic markers. Added a few layers of designer paper to the base. The base panel is embossed with a folder I bought months ago and just now am using. Then a few enamel dots and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!
