HMF#130 ATC Turn about

Here is my creation that is actually my ATC from challenge #101. Very simple as you can see so easy to explain. hee hee  I added some lace trim to the botton of the ATC panel, some strips of cardstock and rhinestones. Easy Peasy! Hope you get to play along with us this week.

The Good Sense Challenge

Happy World Card Making Day! If any day in the year is to encourage you it is today. hee hee  Flourishes has a fun filled challenge for you, here are the details: Join us this World Card Making Day for a little sensory overload when creating! We want you to tap those brain cells and think about how you could use all five senses to make a creation. Use vibrant color to be a "sight" for the eyes. Use something sweet to eat (food images or embellishments) to pique that sense of smell and taste. Use texture to satisfy that sense of touch or use something noisy - die cut machine, punches, eyelets, embossing to use your sense of hearing in the process. Link up your creation over on the Flourishes blog when you're done using our Inlinkz widget and you'll be in the running to win a fun-filled goody bag full of stamp sets, and goodies! For my creation I went with the texture and feel part of the challenge. This image is from the set called From the Desk of. I stamped my image out on classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored with various copic collections:

My background is scored to look like a checker board and then added kaiser pearls to the center of each connecting line. Some white wrinkled ribbon in a bow to the corner and voila!

Think Pink Challenge

As you know, October is a month where moms, sisters, friends, aunts and daughters unite to tell our "sisters" to remember to raise breast cancer awareness and take care of their personal health. Well, it's also a time when you can send a card to someone affected by breast cancer. It's a time when your creations can actually help save lives! Today, we're unveiling a handful of challenges you can take part in to help others THINK PINK! And, that's why we've decided to make this challenge the focus of our Release Week Challenge! Simply play along in the... HOW TO PLAY: Make a card with a pink flair and you'll be in the running. After you make your creation, simply link it up on this post using our Inlinkz widget. Play as many times as you like. Use Flourishes stamps if you have them but if you don't, play along anyway -- you could win some (five sets to be exact!). For my creation today I am using the set called Think Pink, Fight like a girl. I have actually used this set quite a bit lately as I have been working on cards for some girlfriends. I stamped the dress out onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored using copic collections:

My ribbon is this pretty center band satin ribbon in pink along with some lace trim. Added a few finesse swirl pearls along with the candi in iced. Thanks for looking and hope you get to play along.

My husband had me watch this speaker on The Golden Circle. It is 18 minutes long, but intriguing. Fabulous speaker, it starts at 29 seconds after the introduction. If you have a few minutes listen.

 

WOJ#139 Shabby Chic

Do not adjust your screen as yes this is my attempt at Shabby and Chic! LOL  Most of you know this is not my thing, more clean and crisp with lots of white space. Well time to break out of the shell and try something new!  This is my attempt at the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog this week. 

I stamped out the adorable Maya Watching a Ladybug onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored her with various copic colors, then distressed around the edges. That is shabby chic, right? My colored are pretty muted verses the vibrant colors I like to use, added a paper doily and some lace with my ribbon. Most of my cards that have so not a stretch for me there. Layered a few colors of cardstock and distressed the blue one and voila. What do you think? Shabby or chic? I am thinking more just adorable as she makes me smile. ha!  I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day! Thanks for stopping in.

Fight like a Girl

Good Morning! I created this for the Timeless Tuesday challenge today  over on Flourishes Blog. The challenge is Think pink which is hosted by Denise. Be sure to check out the blog for all the details. Pretty easy peasy card as my mojo seems to be missing right now!  ;0)   I stamped out the pink ribbon in the set Think Pink, Fight like a girl set onto classic white cardstock using pretty in pink ink. Added a few kaiser pink rhinestones to each of those and layered it onto the Color Made Easy Candy Pink collection.  My ribbons are some of my favorites with the white pleated satin and my big bow in solid wrinkled lt pink. The t-shirt is colored with pastel copics and then I added a few more of the kaiser pink rhinestones to the corner and popped it up on dimensionals!

Christmas Tag

I am a little late today in posting my Christmas Challenge creation for the month. I just couldn't get it to look right and it still doesn't. ha!   This months Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is Tag me baby. Create those gift tags for all your beautiful gifts this year. If you don't make your own tags then simply add a tag to your creation. Use keyword SCSCCOCT12 if you play along so we can find your creations.

Now for my tag. It didn't turn out like I had it in my head. I finally just had to call it good otherwise I would never get it posted. I stamped out my boot (yes hard to tell I know, part of my problem) from Cowboy Christmas onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. My boot is colored using copic collections:

My papers are from the Color Made Easy collections of Terra Cotta and Rich Browns. Added a little bit of fairy dust to the greenery, a basic grey Olivia button tied off with some of the gold metallic string. My ribbon is hard to see but I used the Color Made Easy Rich Browns argentina collection for the top. This is for my sister and her hubbies gift so I know she won't be so picking. However it drives me crazy when I can't get my head and the paper to match. ha!  Anyways, hope you can play along this month and get your Christmas tags done early! Have a great evening!
