Flowers and tags

Have you ever had trouble with a photo? Oh, good morning. :-)  I have to say these were a pain in the butt to photo.  Trying to photo these three large vases of flowers is not as easy as people think I tell you. Finally resorted to the window shot and I am calling it good. ha!  You can see my Azaela's in the far left behind the vase.  :-)   Here is a group shot of the flowers.

Here is one of the tag using Tulips. Again how do you photo something like this? The Tulips are colored with Copic markers and die cut with Spellbinders Oval shapes and tied off with a ribbon bow around the vase. They have a bit of sparkle added to them, but hard to see.

Next is the Peonies tag in summery yellows. I can't tell which tags I like more. The girls were very excited about their surprise flowers and loved the tags. Always nice to make people smile just because.

Simple gift that didn't cost me a lot and the tags are a great personal touch. Yes I am a bit scatter brained today, bare with me. Its a crazy month and I am trying to get all these things done. I am ready for June already, which is a tiny bit slower. ha ha  Thanks for stopping in today.

Be happy chef

The only thing I can say is that this looked better in my head. Don't you just wish that your head and paper would line up? ha ha  I had this fun bumble bee color theme in my head with this adorable Chef Henry.  I thought oh that would be cool s the textured DP is from my friend Pat. however.... it looks too dark I think. Back to the drawing board I guess. My charm is from the new cook jar that is tied off with some twine and a ribbon bow. We have sunshine the next few days, I hope you do as well. Have a great day.

Mini High Heal treat

Supplies

File printed, scissors, adhesive, score tool. NOTE: Make sure if you use double sided paper that one of the heel shapes is the opposite of the other. I forgot that the first time. 

Step 1 

Score along the solid line along both sides. Score across each of the notched edges side to side to fold the shoe base. (see below also) Add adhesive along the edges of the piece you added the notched edges to. I used glue strips. 

Step 2

Start with the back of the of the heel and adhere edge to edge. You will see the inside edge as shown in photo.

Step 3

To adhere the next edge you will have a small gap between the pieces as you fold down. You want to adhere to the tip of the triangle. Another way to check is make sure that you are lined up with the edge along the bottom towards the front of the heel

Step 4

When the edge is secured this is what you should see so far. Now secure the edge towards the tip of the heel. It will not go all the way to the tip,  which is correct. 

Step 5

Do the same with the other side of the heel. Here is a start of the other side shown.

Step 6

Add the front heel front as desired. I set mine in before I secured so I could see if I needed to have it tighter to hold the candy bar. I thought after that I would put two instead of one with them on their sides. Finish decorating.

Step 7

My final heel with the two bars inside. I added some of the flowers that my friend Pat made me. You can create a full side high heel for regular size candy bards with a template I found HERE. Enjoy

Window Card

Supplies

Metal die, Flowers, adhesive, desired card stock, score tool and sentiment

Step 1

This is a 5x5 size card. Here is the three layers we will be working with

Step 2

Using a piece of tape place desired window shape to the front piece of card. Here I used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circle Large. I have mine close to the left side as I will have flowers on the bottom right side when complete.

Step 3

Adhere the cut piece to the next layer. Using tape place inner metal die into the center of cut shape and die cut

Step 4

Lay these panels on the front of card base. Center the inner die again and make small pencil marks as shown at the top and bottom

Step 5

Remove the two panels and tape the die to the pencil marks you made and die cut. Adhere the two panels to the front and you are ready to decorate.

Step 6

3x3 Glory gift

Happy Tuesday! Yep only the second day into the week, don't worry Friday will be here soon. Have a little gift set for you using Glory from Our Daily Bread designs today. I bought these 3x3 craft cards and envelopes in the $1 dollar bin at Michael's last week. They make for some quick gift sets of cards for the teachers. I stamped the Glory flower into the edges of each card and colored with Copic markers. Added a single jewel to the corner of the scripture and voila! The flowers do all the work I tell you. Standard A2 Gift box tutorial

Supplies

Card stock, adhesive, decorative die, score tool, scissors.

Step 1

Cut a piece of card stock 6 1/4 inches width by 8 1/4 inches length. Score 1 inch on all 4 sides. Pre-fold and snip ends as shown. Add adhesive. This is will be the box base

Step 2

Fold in the snipped edge and secure. This is with one side secured. Secure the other side to form box base. Set aside

Step 3

For the box lid, cut a piece of card stock 6 1/2 inches width by 8 1/2 inches length. Score 1 inch on all four sides and snip the ends just as we did with the base. If you desire a window in your box as I have you will cut that window before you do anything else. Here I have Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles die for my window. Secure your die to the front with a piece of tape and die cut

Step 4

Turn lid over and add adhesive to the inside for the clear sheet of acetate paper. This way you can see the pretty cards through the box lid. Makes for great presentation. Fold the box sides in as you did with the base and secure

Step 5 

Here is the gift box complete. Decorate as desired.

Step 6

Here is a picture of my box with the cards inside and with them displayed. I wrapped some lace trim around the box and added the same jewel to the corners of the box lid. The flowers are called Peonies and Tulips from Power Poppy. Enjoy

Mini High heels

Good morning! A fun project to share with you today. It's a mini high heel.  :-)  In the past I have used made some of the larger high heels that hold a full size candy bar. I created my own template of a Mini Heel to hold the snack size bars. How fun is that!  Great gift for some of my friends.

My complete Mini Heel tutorial and template for you, when you would like to create your own. The double sided card stock gives a fun appeal when its empty. The flowers are from my sweet friend Pat.
