Pocket Card

Supplies:

Scor Buddy, card stock, adhesive, desired die and stamp set

Step 1:

Cut a piece of card stock 5 1/2 inches wide x 11 inches long. Score at 2 1/4 and 5 1/2 as shown.

Step 2:

Using bone folder score and fold. This is what it will look lik

Step 3:

Add desired decorative edge shown here (Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One). Add adhesive to the inside scored piece to secure to base for creating pocket.

Step 4:

Add adhesive to your flap. If you want to wrap ribbon around for the front now would be the time to add that before securing front flap. Decorate as desired.

Step 5:

Here is my final pocket card. I used Heaven and Nature Sing for the front. Added a kraft piece die cut edge in to the flap to match the strips on the top and bottom. There is suduko gold added tot he leave but hard to tell in the photo. Enjoy!

Snowman giftcard

Good morning! I think our weather is a little behind on the calendar. What do I mean? Christmas day we had 52 degree sunshine, beautiful day. Today we have 22 degree cold overcast weather and I am pretty sure it will snow later today. I think mother nature was asleep at the wheel lately. ha ha!  This is one of the creations that was published in the CardMaker Holiday edition earlier this year. This snowman is adorable isn't he? He is Beckham from Whipper Snapper. This is a white bag turned into a card and gift card holder. Want to create your own, check out my Bag Gift card Holder tutorial. Works for any size bag just adjust for your bag size if needed.

Not sure why one photo is brighter than the other except one was taken at a distance? Oh well. The insert is where you can write your message and the pocket behind the snowman panel can hold up to 2 gift cards or even some cash if you desire. The paper has been flying in the craft room as of late. Several new tutorials coming out so be sure to check back. Have a wonderful day!

FS412 Thank You bouquet

This weeks Featured Stamper 412 is Natalie aka dougnat! Terrific gallery that is so fun. I had a hard time not wanting to case them all. However with time being short I choose this With Gratitude card to case. I kept the flower bouquet and simple layers. Changed the flowers, color and added a sentiment and textured bottom. Hope you can play along this week!

This is a Free Digital image that is found HERE at Beccy's Place Blog. She has a store ( Beccy's Place) of items as well for all you Digi lovers out there. I printed this on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Just a little bit of swiss dots added to the bottom and a sentiment with a jewel. Voila! Have a fabulous day!

Have a Very Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, well a short while from now I should say. I am sitting here getting the camera ready for tomorrow morning as my husband is setting up the video camera in the living room. We took some pictures already and I was moving them into the 2014 Christmas folder and came across the 2005 folder. My heart just stopped when I saw this picture of the boys. My... how they have grown! Each year sure does seem like it goes faster and faster with them.

Look at them now with our loved fur ball Ranger. They are both taller than me, almost taller than dad but not quite.  ;-)    Can you tell if they are standing in the same order as they were in the first picture??? For those of you who said no they switched, you are wrong. hee hee  Yep they are both standing in the same positions as they were. Funny how they look so different to us but to others the same.
Well the presents are taken care of, the breakfast is all set and I am now going to lie down for "a long winter nap" as the story goes. We pray that you and your family have a very blessed Christmas with your family. God Bless!

Messy Goodness

Good morning this fine Christmas eve day! Are you all prepared for the next two days of family and friends as we celebrate the Birth of Jesus? I pray that your hearts are in the right place this year and that you savor the moments as you celebrate. Last night we did one of our family traditions and baked sugar cookies to decorate as you see below. This is the start of the frosting and sprinkles mess. ;-)

Each year the boys get taller and taller as they sit on the bar stools at the counter. They are still into all the super hero's, which hasn't changed since they were tiny. You can tell that over the years their decorating style has changed. See all those green and yellow ones and a few green and blue. hee hee  They are so sweet and innocent still, I am savoring each moment with them as they are getting so much older. The super man hat just finished off a cookie with so much topping that I thought he would get sick. You can tell that he is thinking twice now about what he just ate. ha ha!!!  To be a kid again I guess.

I know I have been absent from posts the last two weeks but I have been spending time with the boys and really enjoying each day with them! If I don't get back here before tomorrow with a post. I wish you and your family a very Blessed Christmas and an even happier New Year this 2015. God Bless!

Candy cane lane

Good morning! This weeks Featured Stamper 411 is mjs1033 aka Myrna. Congrats! Great gallery with loads of Christmas cards asking to be cased. hee hee   I choose this Red, Green and white card to case. This fits the Dirty Dozen Challenge as well this month with my yummy candy cane. I kept the colors, a candycane and snowflake. Changed the layout, image and added some sequins and button twine combo.

This stamp I don't think I have inked up yet? Gasp! Sad to say this is not the first time this has happened and while cleaning I am sure I will find more like this. I stamped Betty with candy cane onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I textured some snowflakes into the base white layer and added a strip of scrap dp to the side. Wrapped some red and white twine with a snowflakes trio die light and a button bow. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

My second creation is a baby card I made for a friend. My sentiment is from Mini Tag Sentiments stamp set die cut using Mini Tags Die. Tied a twine bow to add to the sentiment tag. My blue stars are using Sparkling Stars die with added white Ornate Hearts die to the center. My designer paper is from the Christmas Collection 2014, with a Beautiful Borders die edge. Merry Christmas to me

Good morning! Well the turkey is in the oven and cooking away for hubbies work party today. I thought I would finally get the pictures of the new appliances posted since I am wide awake!  ;-)  If you are standing at the edge of the kitchen looking in you can see all the stainless steel. ooohhhaaahhh... This dishwasher is so QUIET! Oh my word, it is awesome. That is a pizza on the stove top that we cooked last night to try it out. This oven is a Dual Zone (double oven) that is like having the two but in one. A warming drawer on the bottom and all the fabulous options on the top. I am feeling spoiled I tell you. It makes the cabinets in real life darker than they were with the light flooring.

This fridge is so COOL! We have about 7 cubic feet more than the side by side we had before. This thing doesn't even look like I have groceries in it after I went to the store its so big. The boys love the freezer on the bottom for some reason and it makes me giggle. Hey they like it, so yippee! Now hubby is talking about selling the house with all the new stuff. NOT!  I am going to enjoy all this for a few years then maybe. hee hee

The last of the basketball games are this week. Two of them are away games so travelling for those. Then we have about a 2 month break from sports, a little break which is good for all. Thanks for stopping in today. Hopefully I will have a card to share later while this turkey cooks.  :-)   Have a wonderful day.

FS410 Christmas House

This weeks Featured Stamper 410 is Barb aka bmbfield. Charming gallery and I spotted this House Mouse card to case called Merry Little Christmas. I kept the same stamp, sparkles and CAS design. Changed the colors, added a sentiment to the corner. Hope you can play along this week!

What a crazy week! This weekend has been just as crazy. Our new appliances were delivered yesterday and oh my do they look good! It is almost like a whole new house I tell you. When I get a minute I will show you pictures. Right now I need to get to the grocery store and put some food in the fridge and on the shelves. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Hot Cocoa Social

This is another secret mouse card for my friend. hee hee  This House Mouse is called Hot Cocoa Social. This has only been inked up about 3 other times can you believe it? They are so sweet don't you think? Too many questions I know.  :-)  A very simple design for the card with just a little bit of textures on the background and a sheer ribbon bow along the side. Easy Peasy! Enjoy your day!

Scrap tag

Happy Monday and welcome to another busy week at our house. 3 Basketball games yet again and 2 of them away games. The only thing about these away games is the eating out each night, blech!  The kids love it, but as adults we all wish we were home cooking dinner. A sign of getting old you think? ha ha! This weekend I got all my goodies made for DH employees and our friends and family packages. Let's just say I am tired of sweets already.  :-)   Although the caramels I made turned out wonderful. We have a few of those left for us. Anyways...

I needed another quick tag and had a few scraps left over from previous tags so I threw this together. Gasp! It turned out pretty good I think with scraps. The Pinecones I had all colored just not cut out so I grabbed the scissors and cut around each of them and layered them on an extra Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament die cut I had sitting on the desk. My sentiment is from he new release Let It Snow. I added a few copper color sequins and a button and ribbon combo. Voila!  Have a wonderful day!

FS409 Best Wishes

Good morning! This weeks Featured Stamper 409 is Sara aka shoogendoorn. A full gallery of creativity and I choose this Creative crew card to case. I kept the over all layout, colors and a masculine theme. Changed the stamp, added a button and a sentiment oval and dp. Voila!

This is a digital image from Delicious Doodles called Deer and Fawn. They are printed on white card stock and layered on chocolate, then kraft card stocck. I added a button and twine combo to the sentiment. One of the guys at hubby's work is leaving and we will miss him. He is a huge hunter so I know he will love this. Voila!
I don't know about your week last week, but mine was crazy. We had three away games that we got home late each night from and a Christmas party. We put up our Christmas tree yesterday and I am just plain ole tuckered out! This week not much slower as another 3 games only one of them is a home game, thankfully. not to mention all the goodies I need to make this week for the bags and all those tags I created. Ai yi yi... I do love it all though! Crazy but I like the month of December!  ;-) Hope you have a fabulous week!

Sending Cheer the bold way

Good Morning and Happy Friday! Bold card today, right?  :-)  Yep a splash of bold was in the mix on the desk so I went for it. My card is using Poinsettia that is stamped on white card stock and colored with Copics. This green designer paper is a vibrant green so i went with it for the colors. A simple card at that as my week has been crazy busy. Stamped the sentiment for the corner a few sequins ( in orange even) and some sparkles. Voila!

Secret Santa's

Yep these little guys are the perfect card for the job. This is a card I will give to my friend that has been getting these secret cards. Along with the card I also ordered her a coffee mug with a House Mouse image on the side. She is going to love it! I have to say I am totally enjoying watching her open the cards and gush over them not knowing who they are from. Although someone almost spilled the beans the other day by accident.  :-)  So far so good though. Anyways.....

This is called Swiss Ribbons that I stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Layred onto some red card stock. Grabbed some designer paper from the scrap bin and layered onto a spellbinders Die cut frame. Added lace trim and bakers twine still on the desk to the bottom. A few red sequins and sparkles to the ribbon. Voila!

Winter Blitz Collection day 2

Welcome to day 2 of our Winter Blitz collection with Camellias! Jewels of the winter greenhouse, stars of Southern gardens, and the state flower of Alabama. Camellias are a symbol of passion, desire and refinement. Marcy was inspired by the Camellias from the gorgeous collection at the Linnean House of the Missouri Botanical Garden.

My Camellia's today are delicately colored with soft yellows and green. I found this picture on Pinterest that was just perfect for my inspiration. After the flowers were colored I cut very carefully around the image and added dimensionals to the back.

Then just added a few things to the kraft card stock panel with some flourished pearls and tied a ribbon bow around with a button twine center. A Spellbinders decorative frame for the base and voila!

~~~~Be sure to check in tomorrow for the Blog Hop and Special fun for YOU! ~~~~
