Welcome to day 2 of our Winter Blitz collection with Camellias! Jewels of the winter greenhouse, stars of Southern gardens, and the state flower of Alabama. Camellias are a symbol of passion, desire and refinement. Marcy was inspired by the Camellias from the gorgeous collection at the Linnean House of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
My Camellia's today are delicately colored with soft yellows and green. I found this picture on Pinterest that was just perfect for my inspiration. After the flowers were colored I cut very carefully around the image and added dimensionals to the back.
Then just added a few things to the kraft card stock panel with some flourished pearls and tied a ribbon bow around with a button twine center. A Spellbinders decorative frame for the base and voila!

Oh my goodness Stacy, another gorgeous card. Love the colours you did this in, withv the brown background, this really makes these camellias pop! And kudos to you for fussy cutting this image out - fantastic job on that!
Wowza..that is some serious fussy cutting and I can't even imagine how long that took you but your beautifully colored Camellias look amazing on your card panel! Love the addition of the pearl flourish and sweetly tied seam binding bow. :)
Goodness gracious girl -- all that fussy cutting? But -- the results are stunning! When I first set eyes on this one -- I gasped! Not only does all that intricate cutting bring out the best in your perfectly colored image but the fancy die and bling??? Perfection!!!
Oh, Stacy!! This is gorgeous! I love your colors and coloring, and you know how much I also love to fussy cut! But, girl, this was a lot of cutting! It sure was worth it, because it is so beautifully popped on this stunning "frame-like" card with the pretty pearl accents and the ribbon/button treatment! Absolutely stunning!! Warm hugs, sweet friend!
Love all the variety of colors that the team used on this image! Gorgeous in white!
I really love how you’ve cut these and framed them out. It gives them such an elegant almost old fashioned look Stacy. Beautiful colouring too!
So pretty, I love the dies with this also.
Stacy you have absolutely ROCKED this card!!! Stunning, stunning, stunning!!! Love your colour choices, the pearls, embossing, ribbon, shaped card.....but oh my gosh, the CUTTING!!!! The fussy cutting is incredible - I sure hope you send this card to someone who really appreciates all the love and work that went into it! :)
When I saw this card on Yahoo my jaw dropped and it's doing it again now. The white with the yellow tinge is so amazing and beautifully done. It's not always easy to color white and have it look good, but you did it stunningly! And then there's that cutting! WOW!
Awesoem card, very beautiful.
I love all your work! I'm fairly new to card making. So, when I "grow up", I want to be able to make stunning cards like yours one day.
Loving your lacy, creamy, dreamy blooms Stacy! What a great way to pop them off your page with your kraft back drop... truly stunning this week!
