Messy Goodness

Good morning this fine Christmas eve day! Are you all prepared for the next two days of family and friends as we celebrate the Birth of Jesus? I pray that your hearts are in the right place this year and that you savor the moments as you celebrate. Last night we did one of our family traditions and baked sugar cookies to decorate as you see below. This is the start of the frosting and sprinkles mess. ;-)

Each year the boys get taller and taller as they sit on the bar stools at the counter. They are still into all the super hero's, which hasn't changed since they were tiny. You can tell that over the years their decorating style has changed. See all those green and yellow ones and a few green and blue. hee hee  They are so sweet and innocent still, I am savoring each moment with them as they are getting so much older. The super man hat just finished off a cookie with so much topping that I thought he would get sick. You can tell that he is thinking twice now about what he just ate. ha ha!!!  To be a kid again I guess.

I know I have been absent from posts the last two weeks but I have been spending time with the boys and really enjoying each day with them! If I don't get back here before tomorrow with a post. I wish you and your family a very Blessed Christmas and an even happier New Year this 2015. God Bless!

Holiday traditions like this are the best! You're right to savor this time with the boys. My bet is you'll always be close with them even though life will bring some changes inevitably, but it will just get richer. Happy holidays, Stacy!

Oh, what fun! Brings back memories when I made cookies with my youngest niece who loved to ice them and make them oh so pretty! Hugs!
