Pretty Dahlia

Morning! This weekend is packed to the max so I am going to make this short and sweet today. Much like my So Grateful creation today! I stamped the Dahlia onto white card stock and colored the blooms with Copic markers. Once colored I cut around the image so that I could pop it up on dimensionals.

The frame is using Spellbinders Classic ovals that I layered to create the frame, then added a lattice die from Spellbinders to the back before I placed it on the base. Added some faux stitching to the designer paper and some stickels to the blooms. Tied off my sentiment with a button and twine combo. Voila! Remember our Shabby Chic challenge started last week and who doesn't want to WIN some goodies? Check out the PP Blog for details.

Haha....I see we were having similar dahlai arrangement moments....this is a beauty Stacy. That pink background really sets off the lattice and the flowers!

Stacy, this is gorgeous, and I love the distressed background with the faux stitching! The oval/lattice are a lovely background for your beautifully colored dahlias...and your fussy cutting is perfection, my friend! Stunning card, and you've really made it shabby! Hugs, sweet friend!

Hello Stacy: Your card is so lovely, beautifully colored and snipped out. I love the lattice behind the oval die cut, it's the perfect detail to showcase your beautiful image.
