Puppy Notes

Good morning. I thought I would give the "fur" technique a try on this furry little guy called With Love...Bella. I think it turned out pretty good for my first try. I might of blended it a little too much but you can still see it a bit.

Over all the design of this did not turn out like I had originally pictured in my head.  Still I did get some time in the stamping room so I am happy. The kitchen counters and back splash are complete, yea! I just need to get some photo's posted soon. So be on the look out for those. Thanks for stopping by!

Dracula Boo...

This little guy is for my sweet nephew's Halloween card. This is Count Dracula Noah isn't he just darling? My sister will appreciate this cute guy. He was batman last year not sure what he plans to be this year. So much fun when they are young.

Count Noah was a new digi to me that I bought a few weeks back and finally got to use. He is colored with various Copic markers and then die cut with a basic circle die and layered onto a scalloped circle. This fence is a retired one from Whiff of Joy that is a halloween fence die cut that I think I have used a few times. Some faux stitching around the edge and my little pumpkin candy bag that I stamped off a House Mouse and popped onto the card. Voila!

Tying the Knot at Power Poppy

Happy Friday and some wedded bliss to Mrs. Marcy! That is right our beautiful and talented leader, friend and mom is getting married tomorrow. We are all so very excited for Marcy and Doug and have a fun little hop to share with you.

I have a special note for the new couple to be. Congratulations you guys! This is so very exciting, wish I could be there to celebrate with you all. The best advice I can give is to keep God first in your marriage, Ecclesiastes 4:12  says: Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken. I truly believe that if you keep God first you will truly be blessed beyond your dreams. Many blessings and happy years ahead for you all. Woot Woot!!!

My wedding card to you is using Dream wedding and a little different than the normal wedding card. This paper was my color inspiration to use with the blues and pinks. I had to use a little bit of blue as its my favorite. Besides isn't a wedding suppose to have something blue in it? hee hee Die cut the images after they were colored with Copic markers and layered onto a matching decorative die. Added some flourished pearls behind the image panel. A little bit of sparkle to the pink champagne  :-)  and then my sentiment on a strip of vellum and pearls to tie it off. Voila!  Happy wedding day Marcy!

Locker hangers

Morning. You just have to love football season! The team mom puts out a list for the Parents to sign up to decorate the lockers of each player the night before the games. You know I always sign up and this year I actually took a picture of what I am putting up on their lockers. They always include candy of some sort since that is what the kids like most about the decorations. ha ha  Walking down the hallway is pretty cool though when you see everyone's locker. Here are the twins hangers and now I need to finish up the other players and get them ready.

These pennants are from an old Spellbinders die set and ODBD Large Numbers die set. After I did these I thought second about die cutting all the pennants but you only live once as they say.  :-)  No sparkles the boys said, but the stickers were cleared they said. ha ha  I used a helmet I found in photo shop and enlarged it with the sentence for the team we are playing tomorrow. Then colored part of the helmet piece to make it more our colors. A few sequins and voila.

Chunky ho ho ho

These snowman are too fun and so chubby. This is Ho ho ho Snowmen from Sassy Cheryl's and one of my new snowman for the year. Usually I buy 2-3 new snowman stamps each year but this year I went with a digi for the first one.  Haven't found my other new ones yet.

Easy peasy design with just a Spellbinders frame and a heart die cut border. A few die cut snowflakes and sparkles to finish if off. Voila!

Thinking of you

Good morning. Finally had a few hours in the stamp room this weekend which was awesome! So I will have a few posts this week.  :-)

Here is another one of the new stamps I bought from Whimsy called You Moove me. Isn't he so cute. I colored him with various Copic markers and yes, a little too heavy on the purple for the bell as it bleed over a little. EEK. A few die cuts for the grass and the picket fence. Some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!
Crazy busy this week, our new kitchen counter and back splash is getting installed. ACK!!! I am so stinking happy its finally here. The kitchen is a wreck but once it is complete I will share pictures. Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome 2017 Football Season

Let's get ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!  Woot Woot!!! What a showing we had last night for the first 2B league game for our Liberty Team. This was quite the game and WIN... Yes Win for our Liberty Boys. They won with a 52-8 ending score. This is our lineup of players with the twins #10 and #55, Normally 10 and 6 but Nathan had to fill in for another player that was out this game.

Curtis had quite an impressive start for his Sophomore year as QB, with 2 thrown touchdown passes and 2 run in touchdowns himself. GASP!!!  It was so exciting. Nathan had several plays that were extremely helpful for our running backs himself. Both made the news reel last night.  😍  Ofcourse I am not on any social media other than my blog, so the Facebook posts, twitter and instagram feeds that I am seeing are through everyone else. Guess I will have to join them all today. HA HA!!! Kidding.... We will be getting the paper tomorrow to have as a keep sake with all the teams accomplishments on the field tonight. A team effort and such a great way to start the season. We are so proud of you all... especially the twins.  Happy Saturday everyone!

Merriest of tags

Happy Friday night lights! Tonight is our first league game. WOOT WOOT!!! We found out earlier this week that Curtis will be the starting QB all season. GASP! Very excited and nervous at the same time. He is totally calm and ready for it, which is good. Us on the other hand.... ha ha Exciting season ahead for sure. Now you didn't come to hear about that, you came for Power Poppy news. Marcy has some fun things on the PP Blog so check it out. In the meantime check out the new digi I played with.

Christmas is coming and that means the orders for tags are here from friends and family. I created a monster a few years back when I created a few. Once word spread now they are wanting them each year. Sheessh.. Its all good. In keeping my sanity I do create two of each one so that it makes it easier on me with trying to give different ideas. :-)  These tags are using Merriest Berries from our Instant Garden collection.
Both of these are a little similar and at the same time different for variety. The awesome thing about digi's is you can pick any size you want for tags or cards Yea! I have some added sparkle to both of them and sequins to just the gray and pink one. Tied off the ribbon tops with some button and silver cord. Voila!

Special Delivery

Good morning. I tell myself that I will not order more stamps until I use more of what I have. For the most part that has been the case, until I came across this little guy. Oh isn't he sweet? He is called Baby Giraffe from Whimsy stamps and my first from Whimsy. I will admit that yes, I did order another one from them at the same time. You have to justify the shipping charge, right? hee hee   Anyways...

After he was stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers I die cut using stitched rectangles. Then layered onto more kraft to match the base. Some faux stitching around the banana cardstock and a few die cut hearts and stars to accent. Finished him off with a sentiment from a Taylored Expressions set and voila! Have a wonderful day.

Fall birthday's

Happy Monday! We have a few fall birthday's coming up and thought these guys would be perfect for the first card. This House Mouse is another one I think that is retired? I have them stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers.

This is for a guy so I kept the accents as just some sequins and some sparkles on the frosting. One of the Dirty Dozen challenges over the summer was to create a background with several pieces of designer paper. I had a lot of fun doing that and wanted to play around again with some scraps. Fun to use different papers and colors I think. Added the sentiment and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Tulips for everything

Happy Friday! For those that are curious, yes Curtis would of started as QB for the game tonight. However due to the smoke we still have it was cancelled. Sniff... Sniff... but better to keep everyone safe. So until next weeks game... on to the real reason you stopped by... To see what Power Poppy is up to today. :-)

The September Power and Spark challenge is posted and I got to play along. I do have to say that this turned out nothing like I thought in my head either. So frustrating when that happens. I do like the blue tulips. This is Loving Tulips stamp set that I used, don't forget we have the matching Die set for this stamp set. Colored the image with various colored pencils. Die cut with a stitched rectangle die and added a few pearls. Easy peasy!

Don't forget you have a chance at winning $50 in Power Poppy bucks if you play along.

FIND A COLOR PALETTE

And don't forget out Hues to Use challenge from this week. Haven't played in that for awhile either, I need to get back into this stamping room and soon!

Cozy Holiday

As I mentioned on Monday the September Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted and it is all about Memories. How to pick just one memory is hard but I actually went with one that is a favorite that I do in my own home each year. A new table center piece, it can be either with or without candles but it has to have fresh flowers or greenry. This last year a friend of mine bought one for me with sprigs of greenry and poinsettias, It was beautiful.

This is Sparkling Poinsettia candle that I have only used once sad to say. Too many stamps and not nearly enough time I hate to say it. Very simple design with just a little bit of sparkle and some jewels. Voila!

September Calendar Page

Well good morning. As you can tell from my absence that school is back in session and the boosters program is in full swing with things to do. Haven't had anytime in the stamp room until today and I feel rather rusty. You wouldn't think that not creating something would be any different, but it sure does for me. Figured I better start out with just a basic design and my Sept. calendar page was just the ticket. They will get this a few days late but that will be okay.

The beautiful In Praise of Sunflowers stamp set was perfect for the month. Colored with just a few Copic markers and voila. See easy peasy to get the flow going again. Ai yi yi.... My Christmas card for the Dirty Dozen September challenge was done and posted on SCS the other day (late of course) but I had that done in advance thank goodness. I am feeling like the tin man with creating. :-)  Will get that posted this week sometime, but I need to work on some creating while I have the time.

Before I go, proud mom and dad moment to share with you. As I mentioned school is in full swing and everything that goes with it. I finished up the Boosters Sports Program for Football and Volley ball and we have concessions nailed down for the most part. The boys first football game was a non-league game, pre-season essentially. Curtis is the back-up quarter back again this year along with wide receiver and corner back. They both play defense and offensive as its a smaller school and we have a total of 23 players. The team we were against is a 4A school and they come out with 43 players. Oh my word! Anyways, about 10 minutes into the first quarter our QB goes down (he is okay) a dislocated shoulder which has happened before. I am looking at the field as I missed the play and see someone is on the ground and the coaches over there. I ask who is it, and immediately look to find Curtis after I found out who it was. That means... HE'S GOING IN. ACK!!!! He had so much poise and calmness, where we are on the side lines pacing. ha ha The entire rest of the game he played AWESOME! We held this team to a 7-0 loss and you might think that isn't good. But last year they crushed us 63-7, this was quite the win for our team. Now the question is will he be starter for this Friday night....  GASP... Oh the joys of football season.
Thanks for sharing in our joy and thank you for stopping by.
