Fall Friday

It seems like fall around here with our weather change. The distinct seasons is one of the reasons I love living here. Aaaahhh... I hope your Friday is gonna be awesome. Power Poppy has some awesome stuff coming down the pike from our newest Power and Spark Challenge, World Card Making Day, Hope You Can Cling To and our New Release and...and...and... The month of October is going to be so AWESOME! We have some fun coming your way for sure! So let's get to my creation today.

Went a little black and white using Olive and Oak for this creation. I liked just the hint of color on the image where the rest is shaded in grey, black and whites using Copic markers. Then a bit of color in just a few parts. The designer paper was my inspiration for the color theme. Shaped the layers using Spellbinders Grand labels and wrapped a bit of green olive like ribbon and lacey mesh around the one layer.

Here is a close up of the sparkle that I added to the leaves. My photo's never show it unless I hold it like this. The goldish like sparkle really looks cool in real life on this card.  :-)  Be sure to check out the PP Blog for World Card Making Day Challenge Oct 3rd, Hope You Can Cling To Challenge and more!!!

Oh, Stacy, what a gorgeous and handsome card! I love this image with the neutral coloring - a technique that really shows all the wonderful details of Marcy's amazing image. And what a great layout with the label shape and the matting. And I'm so glad you took a side photo to show how it glimmers - delightful! Hugs!

Stacy, now THIS is a fresh take!!! Holy smokes, I am absolutely loving how you treated the Olive and Oak leaves, it's magical! Even the fact that you only colored in the leaves, and with such a unique color palette. Total winner. With sparkle to boot!
