One of a kind little birdie

Happy Friday. I must be in a green, pink and yellow thought process this week as again I have green and pink with hints of yellow today. Maybe its the Hawaii feeling that I wish instead of the cold brrrr white and blue feeling we have going on here at home. hee hee  Anyways, this is a little birdie from Folk Heart for my card today.

It is no secret that I have issues with designer paper and using it more. The last few months I have made a large effort to use more of what I have before I buy more. One idea did come to me in using just parts of it for the background edging. You don't have to see all of the paper, right? Well at least I think using a little bit is better than using none. At this point my bins are over flowing and I need to use it somehow. I do like how this turned out though.
Stamped the leaves and flower along the top and bottom and the birdie for the center. Just a few sequins accents and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila

Oh, yes you do, Stacy! You make the most beautiful cards with all sorts of wonderful designer paper...and I love it! Every time I look at my stash, I think..."Now what would Stacy do with this?" LOL! Truly, I love your card and love this darling bird. Such beautiful coloring, and I love the layout with the DP and especially love how you've used the leaves and flower border. Sweetness as always, my friend! Warm hugs and love! xoxo

Oh, Stacy, my heart loves this sooooooo much! Your coloring of this incredibly darling image is off the charts, including the flower border. Be still my heart! I say this so often, but it's another one of my all time favorite PP sets. Super cute card design, too. As for the paper, that little bit peeking around the edges makes all the difference. My collection is definitely overflowing, but I love every piece of it. BTW, your inspiration word for the year is perfect!

Oh so pretty Stacy! Love the main image but also love how you added the top and bottom leaves and flowers. This speaks 'spring' to me, oh how I wish it was! I hear you about all the papers, I have so much and really need to use more. Great idea for layering and your right you don't need to see all the paper. TFS!
