FS347 Tres Chic

This weeks Featured Stamper 347 is Susie aka punchpaperscissors. She has fabulous work just check it out HERE. I choose this Hat and Haiku creation to case. Kept the stamp, color design and some elements. Changed some of the sketch, embellishments.
My image is from Feminine Charm that is stamped onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Colored with Copic collections:

Once colored I layered onto some basic grey card stock. My beautiful black square is a gift from a friend that sent me the Spellbinders Decorative Labels One. How sweet right. I die cut the square in Classic Black card stock and layered onto some older basic grey paper from my stash. Wrapped some lace trim and Color Made Easy Black ribbon tied off with a pearl stick pin. A few scattered pearls and voila! I hope you get to play along this week. Have a wonderful day.

WOJ Halloween Treats

Today over on the Whiff Of Joy Blog is the September Monthly Theme Halloween. Check out the WOJ blog for all the Design Team Creations.

This fun 3D Pumpkin Box Silhouette file makes for a great teachers desk idea with candies inside don't you think? I left off the one layer of the pumpkin outside as I added textures with the swiss dots folder. My little cute cat image is called Maya's Kitty on pumpkin that is colored with Copic markers and cut out. Added some extra leaves with Die-Light Leaves Trio and some sparkle to the leaves. Voila! Hope you have a great weekend!

Red and White Holidays

Friday has rolled around again and the Flourishes Design Team has a treat for you today! We're digging into the Flourishes vault to showcase some of our sets that are retiring! As we make room for new, it means we need to clear out some of these beauties. So - if you like what you see along the way - be sure to add them to your shopping cart, because once they're gone - they're gone for good! It always feels a little sad to say goodbye to some beautiful sets we've loved so well - so I know the Design Team will show them off wonderfully and you'll be inspired!
Today is some more gift tags I have been working on. These ornaments are from stamp set All That Glitters.  I embossed 4 ornaments so that I was able to put two onto each gift tag. They are heat embossed with a sparkly red powder that was from the local craft store. They were then cut out and dimensionals added the back and some gold cord to the top.
My base is die cut with Classic White card stock using the Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die. Then a layer of Color Made Easy Poppy paper in red then another oval layer in Classic White card stock. Wrapped some red lace trim and gold cord around the ovals before I attached them to the base. A few red rhinestones to the side and attached my ornaments. The ribbon is the seam binding from Color Made Easy Poppy and white seam binding. These tags look fabulous and I know that one will be for the girls at DH work the other for my stash. hee hee

WOJ September Blog Hop

Welcome to the Whiff Of Joy September Blog Hop. If you are just starting with us head on over the WOJ Blog. If you just came from  Kathrin's Blog you are in the right place!

This month, Whiff of Joy is releasing special holiday images that will be perfect for your Christmas cards, albums and decorations. Once again, we have paired up some very sweet sentiments with the images so that you will have the perfect saying to go along with your creation. You LOVE our die-lights and we think that you will be blown away with our newest ones and we are continuing to add to our line of nested die-lights with two more sets! We also have some English & German School themed sentiments and two German Christmas themed sentiment sets! This month, we will be giving one stamp and one die-light from our new release to one very lucky winner. The winner will be drawn from the comments on our DT blogs. At the end of the hop, go back to the Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog, let us know that you have left a comment at each stop of the hop by using the inlinkz tool and you will be entered for a chance to win!
The hop will remain open until midnight Monday September 30th CEST. Winners will be announced on the Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog.
So I tried a clever coloring technique that I see my ever so talented DT member Clarissa try. Here is an example of the coloring I am referring to with Pirate Henry here.
See how she uses just one color and makes it looks FABO! I love that however was scared to try it. So I did... And well maybe I should of gone with a neutral color or the black and white she does at times. Yet I wanted the Christmas feel and colors to it so I used red and green. What do you think? Me too... not quite sure... It used the new image called Wonderful Christmas.

Colored the image in red shades using Copics and did a green coloring for the outer edges. These fabulous flowers are with our Die-Light Nested Flowers Two with some Pearl brad centers with a touch of sparkle. Some lace trim along the one side and Voila! Hope you are enjoying the hop this month.
Your next hop along the way is over to  Jeanet's Blog!  Happy Shopping!

Thursday Giggle

Now that is FUNNY!!!  Found this on Pinterest as I sit here trying to just take a moment to breathe today. Some of you have wondered where is all the football fun this season on my blog?  To be honest I have wanted to post and create to tease a few of you. However life is a bit over whelming at the moment. Some of it I keep questioning why... some of it like REALLY... some of it I am mad and just plain frustrated at. Life is life! The one thing I am so thankful for is God is here every step of the way to help us. When scripture says to pray unceasingly I think I got that covered especially now.  :-)   The one thing I do know is he uses the times we struggle to mold us and make us better if we ALLOW him. This is a season to grow apparently as hard as that is. A daily fight it seems in some areas. I am not alone, God gave me the most wonderful husband along side me as we travel through this season. Years ago we wondered at some things God was planting in our lives and thought, really God? Don't you love it when you see some of what God planted in your life/heart much earlier and you wondered what is he thinking? ha ha
Anyways... I am catching some of the games and know that in my moments I am thinking of a few of you and wanting to post a little fun, and I am doing it mentally for now.  Thanks for stopping in... Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Back to school with Prima and CardMaker Magazine

Happy Thursday! CardMaker Magazine and Prima are teaming up today for some crafting fun! Check out the CardMaker Blog for the creations from the Design Team! Since the theme of my papers and embellishments are Back To School I have two cards for the boys teachers all ready to go!
The sentiment is from Flourishes Inside and Out Thank You. The card on the top had an wooden apple that I paper pieced some of the designer paper to and added one of the brads to secure the sentiment. The bottom card has some lace trim added to the fun paper pack Back To School with some of the dot enamels and a roset and twine combo! Have a wonderful day!

Sweet Angel Tag

Welcome to another sneak peek from Whiff Of Joy's September release. This is sweet Angel Maya! I am working on gift tags for one of the girls at DH work and she seemed perfect for a tag. I first die cut Spellbinders classic circle and a layer of designer paper from Bo Bunny Rejoice paper pack. Then grabbed the beautiful Die Light Lovely Doily for a base layer for the Angel Maya panel. Added some lace trim and a button tied off with some jute twine. For fun a hidden Die Light of Bells Festoon. Some ribbons to tie off the tag with a charm from Silent Night charm jar. This also fits the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge with the Bells charm and the bells die cut! Voila!

Baby it is cold outside....

I am so excited! Today is sneak peeks of Whiff Of Joy's September release. You will sure feel a bit in the winter mood the next few days. This new stamp is called Let It Snow! Isn't she adorable? She is on classic white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Colored with various copic markers. I created a tri-fold card for this one. Her panel is secured at the top flap that has a layer of Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One die. Tied some silver cord and a star from the Silent Night charms jar to the flap.
When you open the flap you will see where you can write your message. Tied off another charm this one the snowflake from Silent Night charm jar. This fun paper is Bo bunny Powder Mountain. I love this pack! Some sparkle added to the snow and voila!

Wedding in the bag

Good morning! I mentioned a few days ago that we are busy with weddings, birthdays and showers of some form or another the next few weekends. This is one of the wedding card and gift cards I created for some friends using the 10 minutes in the bag theory. If you missed it and want to WIN some Flourishes goodies, check out the 10 minutes in the bag post and play along. Time is running out.

This is a white bag instead of the brown/kraft bag that I used for the masculine creation you saw. The bride and groom from Wedded Bliss are stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink onto classic white card stock. Then cut around the edges and dimensionals added to the back to pop them up.
The beautiful frame is using Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die cut using classic black card stock then a layer in classic white card stock oval shaped so that the bride and groom stand out. My sentiment is stamped and fish tailed at the end and secured with some red rosets. A few pearls and for the pocket that holds the gift card I added a edge using Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One.

The same concept for the insert as the other with the bride and groom off stamped onto scrap paper then added to the insert. Then the sentiment stamped boldly over the image in Memento Tuxedo black ink. Some sparkles added and voila! Have a wonderful day!

Now you had to know or could guess that I was going to show you Country Time Christmas. This set is so stinkin cool! I stamped 2 of the image onto classic white card stock in Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Colored with Copic collections:

Once colored I trimmed the one layer down so that I could add dimensionals and place it above the other panel on the card stock. The designer paper is from Bo Bunny Snow Day paper pack that is matted onto Classic Kraft and Color Made Easy True Blue card stock. Added a Color Made Easy Rich Brown Argentina ribbon layer around then some sparkles to the snow. Voila! I might send this one to my sister this year, she will love it!

FS345 Snowman Friends

This weeks Featured Stamper 345 is Shannon aka SLWhite. What a fun and spunky gallery! I adored just about every creation so it was hard to choose. However I went with this Christmas Mr. Snowman card to case. I am in the Christmas mood lately. hee hee   I kept similar paper colors and design, a snowman image, layout mostly and theme. Changed the stamp, paper company, tilted my image panel and added a sentiment tag.
This adorable new image is from Whiff Of Joy's Winter Secret kit which is available for pre-order now!  This set is sure to create some good fun for anyone. The image on classic white card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Colored with various Copic markers. I cut my spellbinders die in half so that I had the scallop at the top and bottom. My fun sled is from Die-Light Christmas Duo that I added my sentiment tag to. Voila!  Have a wonderful football Sunday!

That's a wrap...

We've arrived at the last day and "that's a wrap" on our September New Releases! We know you've enjoyed this fun and festive week peeking at five fantastic new sets. Our last set is ready for all your pretty packaging. This 4 x 6 set illustrated by Marcella Hawley is the perfect companion for any gift or Christmas greeting, wrapping it up in style with a fancy bow, jingle bells, elegant flowers, Christmas boughs, a terrific tag, as well as two seasonal sentiments.

I think for an entire release one of these times I am going to do it all in blues. I love the color I can't help it. So when I saw this ribbon in That's a Wrap I knew which paper and colors I was going to use right out the gates. I stamped the bow using Memento Tuxedo black ink onto some Bo Bunny Snow Day card stock and cut out the bow. I also cut in between the bow curves so I could run my silver cord around the edge to make it look like it was wrapped.
My base layer is the lightest color in Color Made Easy Rich Browns card stock and then some of the True Blue color for the outside wrapping. Tied my sentiment into the center of the bow and a silver cord bow. Voila!
