I wanted to share (with permission from my son who wrote this) a Psalms he wrote for class. They are studying the book Psalms and were asked to write their own Psalms. This is one of the boys paper. I can say that I cried, but that is no surprise since I am rather sappy as they say. Yet I also said thank you Lord! For these boys are such a blessings to me and my husband. With all we have gone through the last few months and the difficulties you wonder if you are doing a good job as a parent. You think you are, you hope and pray you are, then you see something like this. ;-) Makes your heart swell and just thank God for his guidance and grace through it all. They get it and man... that is the greatest feeling ever! They are wonderful boys and are rising to all the challenges they are given and I know that God is with them the entire time. From this I know that they KNOW he is with them the entire time as well.
I hope that you have a wonderful week with family and friends this Thanksgiving Season. I will be back tomorrow to share with you a recent new recipe of Turtle Cheesecake Truffles that I made. Its a combo of two recipes into one and I will share with you photos and the recipe. Until then have a wonderful day!

WHAT A GREAT JOB your son did on his Psalms!!!! :) (Our daughter just had the same assignment at college! I haven't read her Psalm YET! She USUALLY doesn't like to do creative writing for others to see!) :) I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND what you're saying Stacy! You do the best you can, teaching....HOPING they GET IT! "It" pops out when you least expect it! :) AND it makes you SOOOO PROUD!!!!!!!!!:) Our son is surprising us too--we heard he was the FEATURED SPEAKER at a function at College! If you knew what he'd been through in Public School...having Aspergers...you'd understand! GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! I think we're blessed with these SPECIAL MOMENTS, because we just didn't teach, but we LED BY EXAMPLE! :) HAVE A BLESSED THANKSGIVING with your family!!!!!:)AND tell your son, "Well done!!!" :)
Stacy,
Thank you for sharing this. It made me tear up. What a proud mom you must be. He sounds like a true soldier of God ready to fight the fight with his full suit of armor. Praise God for this and for you and your husband. God Bless and Happy Thanksging.
This is beautiful! You can be so proud of your son and know you are raising him and his brother right. I thank the Lord for children like him. He is what our world needs!
Totally precious! Always such an encouragement to see when things "click" with you child after years of teaching and modelling it to them. I would be weeping tears of joy too :)
No wonder your cried--it is so great that your son is able to articulate his faith so beautifully. I know you must be a very proud Mom!
There are just no words for how precious this is....you are very blessed, indeed!
