Iris Thank You

Hello all and welcome to a very special kick off to Flourishes' January Release! Not only are we ushering the new release in with a fun-filled Timeless Tuesday Challenge but we are showcasing a set designed to honor Flourishes' owner and founder.

INTRODUCING....

FlowersForJanGraphic

Wisteria, Peonies and Bearded Iris -- all three of these flowers are favorites of Flourishes' founder and owner Jan Marie Caruso. Sentimentally illustrated by Marcella Hawley, these beautiful blooms honor the lady at the helm at Flourishes. Three breathtaking flowers paired with three beautifully scripted words and five accent words. This 4" by 6" set is sure to be one you reach for just to send creations to friends far and wide for any and all occasions!
FTTC253 Get in Shape NEWIMAGE

I adore making shaped cards as some of you know so this challenge was awesome! Now I did do a little different with this one than normal and I am not sure I am all for it yet? Usually I use the full die as the framed shape and add card stock to the back. Well this time the die was layed down above the fold and cut just to spice it up a bit. ha!  My Iris from Flowers for Jan is stamped onto Classic White card stock using Memento tuxedo black ink.

Colored with Copic Collections:

My image panel is layered onto Color Made Easy Crocus card stock and Sunflower for another base layer. The thank you sentiment is from Botanical Bookplates Vol 2 stamp set that is punched out with a circle punch. Before I added my image panel layer to the base I added a double layer of the white cotton crochet lace trim and a center layer of the Color Made Easy Sunflower Antique Gold ribbon tied into a bow with a wooden button and some jute twine. The sparkly corner accents are a fun embelishment that I actually dusted off at the first of the year called Candi Voila!
Would you like to win this set along with the other two sets being released this month? All you need to do is play along with us!!! We have a special treat for you today -- two actually! First, in honor of Jan Marie and this very special set, Flourishes' Senior Design Team is joining along in this challenge to give you double the inspiration! As you hop around getting inspired on ways to "Get In Shape", don’t forget to try to figure out….

Gorgeous and with such a delicate die-cut frame. Looks too fragile to even dare touch. I'll just have to look at it. :)

Gorgeous colors! They remind me of the irises at my childhood house.

Stacy, your bearded iris card is so sweet and very pretty. Love the "iris" stamped background and your brilliant iris focal image which is beautifully colored. You do have a way with a Copic marker. And by the way, I really love it that you show us exactly the color of the markers you used. That's so helpful. Sweet little thank you sentiment too. This is a wonderful new stamp set. I am looking forward to it.

Of course, the iris from Flowers for Jan is a giggling site this time of year tickling away the fuss of dressing warm for the great out of doors. Thanks for the reminder, spring cometh.

This is SO beautiful, Stacy! I love the rich jewel tones, and the bg you made with the Iris text looks fantastic. I personally like the way the card base looks folded down. The shape kind of mimics the shape of the flowers.
