My card today did not turn out quite like I had pictured in my head. Not that I don't like how it turned out but I just pictured it differently. Anyways... I stamped a few of the flowers from Abundant Petals onto a strip of white paper and colored with copic markers.
Then I added my sentiments from a retired stamp set and added suduko gel pen to the letters. It is hard to see in the photo's and looks much better in real life. I did take the picture at an angle for you to see below. A simple scalloped edge to the bottom and then added to the base layers. Easy, simple and yet still doesn't look like I had planned. Another birthday card done but this one is getting mailed out soon so not for the stash. :-)
Thanks for stopping by. Have an AWESOME day!

Stacy, I don't know what you had in mind, but I LOVE it! That's such a great idea to stamp some flowers and then use it as DP across the card with the embedded sentiment. I really love the black DP behind it with the blue mat. Stunning card! You are on a roll!! Warm hugs and love! xoxo
Oooh, this is very pretty, Stacy! I love the dark background and how it sets off your flowers so beautifully. You're awesome with the Copics, whereas I never seem to get them just right. Whatever was in your head, what you got down on paper is amazing!
Stacy, I think we all have times like this where a card doesn't turn out quite like you hoped it would, but I see nothing wrong with your beautiful card today! I love the contrast of the white/red/ black and the bit of scallop edging - beautiful!
