What lies behind us

With on-trend typography designed by Marcella Hawley, Good Thinking: Renewal will end your search for "just the right" rejuvenating words! This all-sentiment set measures 4" by 6" and is loaded with 16 images.

I think ole Mr. Emerson had a little insight here that most adults don't figure out until much later in life. This sentiment is rather cozy and heartfelt I think personally and that means some rosy paper was a perfect backdrop. This paper is from an Authentique Paper pack that I bought a few weeks ago. Some hot pink roses and black matting were the ticket for this creation. Added some more of my special Pat Blooms and voila! Beautiful, right?

Today the Bloom Brigade is stamping out some serenity and they'd love to share a bit with you!

May God Bless you and Keep you

Gorgeous, right! This is a new set coming April 1st from Our Daily Bread designs using the new Chalkboard Paper collection. The sentiment is actually die cut from the paper collection using the matching new die called Vintage Flourish Pattern. I then layered that sentiment panel onto another layer die cut in the white card stock that is layered onto the larger die in the set in black card stock. That is a mouth full of layers. ha!  Needed a little extra feminine flair so I added some of my beautiful Pat blooms and Voila! I adore the way this turned out. Enjoying the sneak peeks so far?  ;-)  Have a wonderful day.

You are always on my mind

Sweeping and free, this set simply named Azalea is begging to be colored with reckless abandon. It could inspire an outrageous upsurge in your use of pink markers, colored pencils, and paint! Use the lush blooms of these images to let a friend know how much she is missed, or to say thanks to another who is just plain amazing! This 4" by 6" set was illustrated by hand with a whole lotta love by Marcella Hawley.

Now you know this stamp was begging for a white canvas!  I have stamped, colored and cut out these gorgeous blooms today. A decorative Spellbinders frame and then for the sentiment and some fun I cut a round hole in the base, then added the sentiment on a round punch and popped up. I adore how this turned out. Not to mention the white sheer ribbon for a little elegance! The sentiments in this set are darling and wonderful for your girlfriends.

Hop on over to see the rest of the Bloom Brigade!

FS373 For God So loved the world

This weeks Featured Stamper 373 is Jean aka Jkanack. I knew what I was casing the first time I scrolled down the page. This CAS Beauty was just that speaking to me. I kept the layout, clean and simple design. I changed the stamp, added ribbon and put my sentiment on a panel.
I really like how this turned out. The pretty blue Chalkboard Fan Background is sneak peek from ODBD April 1st release. Along with the sentiment from the new stamp set called The Cross which is die cut using ODBD custom die Recipe and Tags. I wrapped a ribbon bow around the main panel and added some blue jewels. Voila! I hope you get to play along with us this week. Have a great day.

Word up!

Celebrating Good Times -- Come On!  Mix and match the sentiments and graphics to create combinations that will have your besties saying, "Word Up!" This 4" by 6" set -- Marcella's Mixtape Vol. 1 -- was hand-drawn from the wonderfully creative pen of Marcella Hawley.

Now I have made a few mix tapes in my day and thinking back on that now just makes me giggle. Especially when I think about the music that was on those tapes, and music I listened to. I mean NKOTB was HOT!  For those that have no idea what I am talking about...that is New Kids On The Block. Oh yea... You are smiling now thinking, oh yea! That was me right there dancing, singing and the music videos they had. Don't even get me started on how girlie and foolish I probably looked. HA!  I actually went looking for a CD of there's just because, Hey Jack... I like it still. ha!

I am having so much fun with this stamp set I tell you. This is rather different for me other than the white space of course. hee hee  I like the feeling, its easy, fun and makes you smile. The twine I have had in the stash forever with my goal of still using all these goodies sitting here. I punched some stars and threw on a few jewels. Voila!

Twist on over and see the rest of the Bloom Brigade!

Lead me to the Cross

How about this for classy and elegant? Check out this sneak peek from Our Daily Bread designs April release coming on the 1st. My creation is showing a few new goodies. First is the beautiful new Ornamental Crosses die that I have die cut in rich purple card stock. Oh the crosses in this die set are fabulous! Layered the sentiment from the new The Cross stamp set that is die cut using Elegant ovals. Layer that onto a beautiful textured new die called Vintage Flourish Pattern die.  Add a few pearls and voila!
I love the feel of this card. See you back for more sneak peeks!

Blooming in color

Our first Power Poppy set, hot off the presses with Springtime Love  This set embodies romance -- with passionate petals and love-laced sentiments. Illustrated by Marcella Hawley, this beauty of a set measures 4" by 6".

SQUEEL!!! I know you are probably tired of reading that (be lucky you can't hear me) but to color with Marcy's drawings is just that much fun. My creation is using the round like image in the set that has loads of color options. Each flower is so pretty and makes me want spring here.
My flowers are colored with loads of different Copics markers. The front I left without a sentiment so you can just look at these wonderful blooms, but a birthday sentiment is inside. My layers use a few Spellbinders shapes one of my favorite things to add to card creations. Tied off a ribbon bow and voila. Oh this just screams Spring get here in full bloom!  ;-)

Now that you've been swept away with that free-feeling Springtime Love, why not traipse around to take in some more? The Bloom Brigade has plenty to share!

Meet the Bloom Brigade

With a little bit of the story of Power Poppy unveiled yesterday, today we get to share some of the "faces" that will help bring Power Poppy to full bloom! We call ourselves... "The Bloom Brigade"! How stinkin FUN is that? Want more fun? How about a little tidbit about each of us?  Marcella asked each of us a question, to find out what our question and answers are you need to hop along! Here is my question and answer.

Q. I burst into uncontrollable laughter whenever?

A. Our house is filled with laughter as you can imagine with twin boys, so laughing is rather natural all the time. J  One thing I tend to laugh at uncontrollably lately is the show Duck Dynasty. Now at first I refused to watch this show and join the "craze". They made me sit down and watch one full episode to see if I liked it. Oh my word!  Jason or Jase is my all time favorite, his facial expressions alone and his “nah” always get me laughing. Throw a bit of Si on the side and you have a good laugh for the night.  And I will admit… there is a State Farm Commercial where the husband is on the phone at 2 am talking real quite as his wife comes down the stairs asking who he is talking to. You know the commercial, we all do! Her line when she says “What are you wearing Jake, from State Farm”  It pans over to Jake and he says “Kahkis” The whole commercial gets me every time laughing. My husband even rewinds the DVR so he can hear me laugh every time. I would switch insurances just for that commercial. HA!

Now hop along and find out a little something about my fabulous friends. Trust me YOU will love this hop!

Mrs. Shaddix hanger

Happy Monday! I had a good weekend, how about you? Teachers appreciation week was early in the month and each one of the boys teachers received a personalized hanger. This is one of them that I created in her favorite colors. The rolled flowers are again from my friend Pat. She is going to start charging me for these puppies I just know it. ha ha
Colored the letters with Copic markers. Added some heart trim along the side and flourished pearls. Voila! Yes she did love it along with the other teachers.  :-)  Now that I have these letters out I think I need to make a few other gifts.
For you early birds, I have the Name Hanger Tutorial already posted for you to see and create your own. Have a fabulous day!

Ya man...

God's Path

Good morning! I have not created a gate fold card forever so I played yesterday and made this. I still adore seeing this sentiment in rubber, it is from the Sentiment Collection 3 set at ODBD. I choose this one as it is a reminder to me. This is a 5x5 gate fold card. My flowers are from my sweet friend Pat. Again using supplies that I haven't used in awhile. Makes me wonder how I stop using them once I dig them out again. ha ha! Here is the gate fold open.
Here it is closed. I always have to use my finger to close it so it doesn't pop up. The flourished swirls in kraft card stock you see is using the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die. Isn't it pretty? Voila!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Who can resist?

Sweet Rewind today

Thank gosh it is Friday! Oh my oh my what a week! Hopefully you have fun plans for this weekend. We will be finishing science projects and helping with try outs for the JR. team. The joys! ha ha  Today is ODBD rewind week of our March release. The DT has some sweet creations lined up for you today so lets get started.
This is rather country inspired with the gingham paper and flowers. My ribbon is always side to side or up and down so I shook it up a bit and have it diagonal. oohhhaaahhh.. HA!!  I think I will go back to my normal.  :-)  The sentiment is from Sweeter Than Honey that is stamped on white card stock. My brilliant blue card stock is dry embossed using QuatreFoil Pattern die for a beautiful texture. In case you missed it this die makes a fabulous box, check out my Quatrefoil Box Tutorial. These flowers are from my sweet friend Pat. Added a few pearls and voila!

Be sure to check out the creations from the DT:

He is stamped onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I tied off some bakers twine that has sat here forever. My sentiment is from Birthday Phrases. Even my designer paper is stuff that has been sitting here from October Afternoon. I am so proud of myself for using up more of the goodies I have sitting here. Added a little cute banner with Die-Light Pennants and voila!

Little Yellow dress

I know you are wondering what is with all the girl cards. Well, I have a request for birthday cards for young girls that I am working on. Simply Maya is a great collection just for this age group. This one called Maya Dressing Up is one of my favorite ones. I adore her dress in yellow which is why I color it that was on most cards. She is stamped on white card stock and colored with Various Copic markers.

I added some fun rosets to my Die-Light Romantic Swirls and a charm from the All For The Girls Charm collection. The birthday sentiment is on the inside. Voila!  Cute isn't she?  :-)  Hope you have a wonderful day.
