Pink Gladiolies

Happy Monday! Did you have a nice hot weekend like we did? We have a record week coming for us apparently this week, suppose to be 115. ACK!!! Means indoors for us this week! I have a flower creation to share today.

Was in a pink mood when I created this card using Gladioli. My first one was in a rather teal blueish color so I went with pink this time. Die cut them with a Spellbinders classic circle, that I then layered onto a kraft cut Spellbinders Decorative Labels Twenty Two. Wrapped some lace trim and ribbon around the center. Tied off  a button and twine to my ribbon bow. Finished it off with a few pearls. Voila!

I mentioned last week that we are getting new carpet in the house and tile installed here at the end of the month. Did you know that when you do this, you are basically packing up your entire house as if you are moving? Oh my word!  We have broke the install up into two parts. The first will be the kitchen and dining room as that will have tile installed. The stuff in these rooms are rather large and fairly easy to move. The carpet is a whole new ball of wax. We have to pack up everything to move it out. Beds, dressers, toys, bookcases, decorations etc....  Do you know how much stuff you gather over the years? Gasp!!! Needless to say this week is going to be as I said record breaking high temps, so we will stay inside and start packing up the house. Not fun, but we might have enough stuff for a yard sale which would help move stuff out and give us a little cash. ha ha!!! I did sell some of our furniture last weekend from the front living room. We are doing a whole move around of rooms that I will share later and will make more sense. Well for those that are interested.  :-)  Enough of my babbling... Hope you have a wonderful day!

Your glads are gorgeous!! Beautiful card showcasing them.

The heat...oh yes!! Not fun without AC that's for sure!! Hot and humid up here too...pant, pant... Air out the house in the early am to get the cool air in and then close all the doors and windows and blinds that let sun in and you house will stay fairly cool.

Oh my to having to move everything out too! Makes sense, never thought about it - ugh! Glad you are doing two phases. At least you can live in your house that way LOL! Hope it goes smoothly and quickly!

I am so jealous. I want new flooring too but boy that would be a pain to have to pack up all my stuff..lol. Didn't think about that. My hubby will thank you for warning me. Good luck. Your card is beautiful.

Your coloring of these glads is exquisite, Stacy! You are so good! 115? Yikes! I couldn't bear it for a minute. Years ago we had hardwood floors refinished in all bedrooms, the hallway, and dining room all at the same time. We had to pack everything up and afterwards the dust was incredible in everything, no matter how we tried to protect it. Major cleaning going on. Big job, but you'll love your new floors!

Stunning pink beauty Stacy! I sure hope the installation is going well. There's nothing worse than having to move everything out and have no where to put it! Thinking of you!

Oh, Stacy, your glads are absolutely stunning and so beautifully colored! I LOVE them! And I love the papers you've used with the beautiful ribbon with button and twine!! What a beauty! Oh, I feel for you for the BIG floor project! We did it, and you're right! It's like moving out, BUT the good thing is weeding out. Hope it goes well, and I know you will love it when it's done!! Hugs, sweet friend!
